The first challenge I think I signed up for this year, when my blog was only a bare month or so old, was the 2010 Irish Reading Challenge, hosted by Carrie over at Books and Movies. I love Ireland – I’ve read a lot of books set there and I was pretty sure I’d be able to find a few novels to read for it. I completed four books for the challenge this year. It was a lot of fun, I think it really got me into the challenge groove. So when Carrie announced that she was once again holding the challenge in 2011, I knew I’d be signing up.

The info:
The challenge runs from the 1st Jan-30th November 2011. You can use your books to crossover for other challenges, you can do re-reads. Books count if they are set in Ireland, written by an Irish author, involve Irish history or Irish characters. You can read fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, poetry, audiobooks, etc. It’s pretty broad! There are 3 commitment levels:
Shamrock level: 2 books
Luck o’ the Irish level: 4 books
Kiss the Blarney Stone level: 6 books
Like this year, I’m going to go for Luck o’ the Irish level again next year, so 4 books!

Glad you’re joining us again!
